About this listen

"A full master of the epic fantasy." (Tulsa World)

One of the world’s most acclaimed fantasists, New York Times best-selling author Robin Hobb returns to the world of her popular Tawny Man trilogy with Dragon Haven - the second book, following Dragon Keeper ("Imaginative, literate, and compassionate from first page to last" (Booklist)) in an epic adventure about the resurgence of dragons in a world that both needs and fears them.

Hobb, whose Soldier Son trilogy (Shaman’s Crossing, Forest Mage, Renegade’s Magic) has won raves from critics, fans, and peers alike, returns to the Rain Wilds with Dragon Haven, and fans of Raymond Feist, Terry Brooks, and Lois McMaster Bujold will eagerly follow.

My least favourite book in the series.

my least favorite, but necessary character building I guess. the other 3 books in the series were AWESOME. but this one... I had to chew thru it and I'm glad I kept going.

Could have been a novella

“Dragon Haven” was a real slog to get through. The book was 90% character development & 10% story. This can be good if the development is catchy and engrossing, but this honestly felt like a tv soap opera with the amount of relationship drama it had. Overall a big fan of the series but wow this was tough to get through. Hope the story picks up from here…
