Build your kingdom - Destroy your enemies

What would you do if you woke up in a strange land?

What if you had no idea why?

Would you fight, or would you curl up into a ball and cry?

What if your fate was sealed by a booming announcement that cracked across the vast blue skies?

“Greetings, welcome to The Land of The Lessermen. You have arrived in the nick of time. War looms, its dire thunderheads crowding our once glorious sky. This land needs a strong hand such as yours. A hundred must battle for victory, and at the end, there can be only one.”

You’ve played the games, now listen to the book!

For Connor O’Grady this nightmare comes true. He wakes in a land and is propelled into an age called Legendary, where he has to fight his way up from nothing, literally nothing, not even a pair of pants. He must learn to survive, to fight, and to enlist the help of others in order to build a civilization capable of winning.

Because there is no other option.

This is a LitRPG - Civ building fantasy tale and includes progression stats and settlement stats.

For lovers of 4X strategy MMORPG civilization building games who enjoy a tale woven in the lands they spend far too much time in.

Warning: Contains curse words.

Great read!

I enjoyed this book. Great mc and the right amount of action, city building, and competence in what he is doing. I look forward to the next book!

Refreshingly direct and unique! A twist on Lite RPGs

Hello everyone,

As a long time reader/listener to The Lite RPG audio world I can honestly say that Ember Lane did a great job to make this one stand out.

At first I wasn’t sure what to think of the “4x Strategy” aspect of the story but after a couple hours I found it refreshingly unique. Ember has done a great job of brining a good old fashioned D&D building strategy style game to life in this story. As the first book in the series the number of Statistic updates and Character Sheet discriptions and building details can seem repetative, and in excess. However given time it works to build a solid understanding for the listener so that later in the book the story becomes more of the focus than the stats and updates.

As with almost all LiteRPG style books, there are parts of the story that seem to simply fall into place for the main character no matter the path he chooses. However Ember does well to note the "unique" sytle of the main characters path in relation to the larger game at play.

One thing I will warn future readers/listeners about is the pace of the story and events can be quick at times. So much so, that if you are not fully listening to Pavi’s narrative you can miss entire events in only a few sentences.
Ember Lane is not heavy with the added filler details and overly descriptive narrative like a lot of Lite RPGs do, but focuses on the story, characters and events. As such you always have to be paying attention to ensure you don’t miss anything!

As for Pavi’s performance, well he does a great job bringing Embers story to life for the listeners.
Just like the story, his reading can be a little quick at times but overall I found his performance easy to listen to and clear enough to catch all the little details hidden in the story.

Thanks for reading my review and as always, happy listening.

Much better than I thought

First off, I like the narrator. He doesn't overdo it like lots of other narrators seem to feel like they have to do.
Secondly, the book was pretty good. Started strong, dipped and took its time to regain momentum, but was worth it.
