About this listen
There’s a saying…
What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, and Connor is going from strength to strength!
He’s finally got his borders secure by taking Portsmouth. Not only that, but he’s conquered the adjacent land of Certaindeath and defeated Lord Zerg Zerg to take Zergatory. Things are looking up for our favorite warlord, and he’s rightly pleased with himself.
But there’s another saying…
Pride comes before the fall.

I don't get it
what's the point of introducing a romance between Ellen an Connor throughout 2 books. if you're going to ignore it with a meek explanation of her saying maybe when it's over. then... take a broad left turn and create a romance between yosaku. I understand fighting and that brings people closer but ignoring a path or option partially trodden. then press on as if it never existed... like wtf. it seems as if it was convenient to kick it to the curb to give purpose to another character. think about it, how much sense would she have to do what she does for Connor if the romance wasn't there... none really..apart from false commitment.
