About this listen
Driven to Succeed is an incredible story of success from one of the most unlikely places on the planet. The story develops on a First Nation reservation, in northern Canada. The child of a single mom of four, living on welfare, was forever changed through a simple act of service.
Never has a detailed story been told of life on the rez, set in a backdrop where diabetes and alcoholism are common. You will be inspired as you witness how one child chose to rise above his circumstances to achieve extraordinary success through the power of the mind.
If you feel that the odds of success are stacked against you, this story will change your perspective. It is a masterpiece of success, teaching you how to reshape your circumstances to accomplish dreams you never thought possible. Kendal's simple five-step strategy will prepare you for amazing outcomes.
The five steps to succeed include:
- Making a simple choice.
- Planning, preparing, and expecting to win.
- Using the power of your story.
- Turning your pain into gain.
- Elevating your circle of influence.
This detailed story, utilizing the five-step strategy, will inspire you to do great things with your life - a life story you'll want to listen to to shape your destiny.

Inspiring and encouraging book.
This book kept my attention throughout and led me to keep on listening all the way to the end in one sitting. Kendall Netmaker kept my attention and interest throughout the entire book. I heard it all in one session. I wanted to hear what came next all the way through. He tells his story of both adversity and tough breaks as well as of caring family and other ggmentors. He tells how he turned his hardships around by refusing to stay a victim and by thinking about and çlearning how to live with courage and hope. Through faith and courage learned from his mother and grandmother and from caring strangers and friends mentoring him, he chose to grow and pursue his calling and now helps and inspires others from all walks of life. Great book!

Good book, excellent effort!
I'd not known of Mr. Netmaker. Picked this up on a sale. Have listen to many personal development books, so have lots to compare to. The author does a mostly excellent job of weaving in his own experiences into several tried and true personal development ideas and as a result offers a fresh perspective on many ideas that have been kicked around for years.
What makes this book worth listening to is to hear about the personal development tactics, mantras, ways of thinking from a First Nations man, who grew up on and off reserve. This is what makes the book interesting and unique and even powerful. It is wonderful to hear how Mr. Netmaker, who against the odds, continually took lemons and made lemonade with some help along the way.
The listen is not without its challenges. While Mr. Netmaker does a solid job reading, the editing of the book lacks polish and towards the end of the book I found the narrative a bit disjointed and one important story about the author's sister, though inspiring, seemed misplaced (perhaps she could write her own book?!). I suspect these issues are due to this being the author's first book. These issues aside, it is a short and excellent listen that I would recommend.
It's a solid first work and I'd like to see more content from Mr. Netmaker.

Inspiring
I enjoyed listening to Kendall's life path of perseverance and focus. Overcoming the isolation of life on the reserve and the oppression that came with being First Nations, he walked a path to success for himself. Really loved the tone of the narrative, the authors voice, and the details of his personal experiences.
It is inspiring to hear how he overcame difficulties and stigma's and had the sense and conviction to make things work in his life.

Very Inspirational
Loved the story, very inspiring. Narration seems a bit robotic at times, strange considering it was his own story. But would highly recommend this book as there is so much to learn. I will be making my own GOAL cards TOMORROW
