About this listen
Number four, Callum Duquette. Placekicker for the Boston Tomcats. Former underwear model. Nickname: Duke.
I thought the most annoying thing about being a single dad was that my friends were always trying to find me a date. Until a sassy British ray of sunshine bumps into me at a bookstore. One accidental butt grab, a viral photo, and a lot of misunderstandings later, I find myself in a fake relationship with a movie star.
Now I’ve got my friends off my back, but the cheeky Brit has complicated my life even more.
She calls me the duke of Grumpville. I call her movies the end of civilization as we know it.
She calls my job “the wrong kind of football”. I call her the one thing on Earth that can make me lose focus and control.
It’s getting harder to pretend I still want this to end after my team’s game in London.
I thought we were only faking it. But getting to know the real Millie Darden changed everything.

Grumpy/Sunshine Fake Dating
Duke is the third in the Tomcat series.. Decker and Dash are fantastic but you technically don't need to read them to follow along with Duke.
It's Dual POV and performed Duet style.
Duke is grumpy...and that is putting it lightly. Fate has plans for this poor b*stard (did you read that in a British accent?...I hope so) He runs into Millie Darden, actor extraordinaire at a little bookshop I'm Boston...being the glumpsy gal that she is, Duke ends up catching her and the next thing they know #milke is born.
I'm going to be honest I had to triple check that Mille was played by Desiree Ketchum because I knew she wasn't British...the accent, the accent, I bow down to her. And the way she delivered all of the quirky and hilarious lines with ease was flawless.
It felt like Connor effortlessly performed Duke. He captured the grump essence so well and slowly allowed the emotion to come through as Duke navigated his way through them.
Mackenzie as Chloe was a highlight for me...it was love. I'm not sure I could describe it any other way. She also played other characters as well and did a fabulous job.
And the way Evan played Mr. Darden was superb. Definitely my fav character that he played.
Multicast just hits differently.
