About this listen
I missed the period of my life when I trusted everyone. I think most people have that period. I blindly trusted until, one by one, I was betrayed by the people who was closest to me. The people who were supposed to love me and be honest to me let me down. I lost confidence in humanity. I lost confidence in love, loyalty. and family. The only friends that remained were some of my workers. We were life's misfits, sharing our stories of lost dreams and failures.
After Bobby and I lost our jobs, we started a simple business of cleaning construction job sites. He was older and used his retirement money to buy dumpsters. I managed the crew of derelicts. I didn't expect much from them. They didn't have any friends either since they were the ones who betrayed their friends and families. I wondered if everyone's life had few friends and many acquaintances. Our lives were in the dumpster. These are my dumpster days. It is the darkest closest to dawn.
