Excellent in all regards

Great story, EXCELLENT work on the part of the narrator. his ability to switch between characters and use different voices was spot on and really added to the enjoyment of the book.

Fine, not Crichton's work

It has some that distinct technical detail tangents that Crichton is famous for, and seemed well researched. But the plot was unremarkable, and the romance probably had the worst character chemistry I've ever seen. Overall the characters weren't very fun, not much cool banter or drama.
