Story
Most of us have heard of gluten - a protein found in wheat that causes widespread inflammation in the body. Americans spend billions of dollars on gluten-free diets in an effort to protect their health. But what if we’ve been missing the root of the problem? In The Plant Paradox, renowned cardiologist Dr. Steven Gundry reveals that gluten is just one variety of a common, and highly toxic, plant-based protein called lectin.

Story
We all know the dangers of sugar and salt: but the danger attributed to the second white crystal has more to do with getting too little of it, not too much. Too little salt can shift the body into semi-starvation mode, causing insulin resistance, and may even cause twice as much fat to be absorbed for every gram that's consumed. Too little salt in certain populations can also actually increase blood pressure as well as resting heart rate.

Story
One afternoon - after another failed attempt to get motivated to exercise - I (accidentally) started my first mini habit. I initially committed to do one push-up, and it turned into a full workout. I was shocked. This "stupid idea" wasn't supposed to work. I was shocked again when my success with this strategy continued for months (and to this day). I had to consider that maybe I wasn't the problem in those 10 years of mediocre results. Maybe it was my prior strategies that were ineffective, despite being oft-repeated as "the way to change" in countless books.

Publisher's Summary
Eat, Move, Think is the essential guide to living a longer, more active, and more fulfilled life - full of answers to your most pressing health and wellness questions.
Doctors everywhere have the same goal: healthier and happier lives for their patients. And yet, no two medical professionals give the same advice. How much coffee is too much? What’s better for your fitness: cardio or weights? What is mindfulness, and how can you practice it?
Finally, there are answers to all of those questions and more. Eat, Move, Think breaks down the fundamentals of living a long and healthy life into three sections: nutrition, physical activity, and mental health. Francis addresses the questions that we all grapple with: How much meat should I eat? Is it okay to sit all day if I work out afterwards? How does sleep affect my mental health?
Drawing upon the expert advice of world-renowned doctors and medical professionals, this book captures the innovative strategies of the world’s highest performers - Navy SEALs, cutting-edge researchers, professional athletes - in one handy guide to everyday healthy living. Honest, straightforward, and accessible, Eat, Move, Think will empower and educate you, teaching you the simple, achievable steps you can take to transform your health and your life.

Easy listen - although nothing you haven’t heard before
Not any new information. Pretty much a collection of bits and pieces of previously shared tips on healthy living. Was well presented though and was a very easy listen.

Partially correct info
The author acknowledges that plant based diets are best, but then advocates otherwise. Huh? He also encourages eating regularly throughout the day which has been proven detrimental to insulin levels.
If your diet is the Standard American Diet (SAD in both ways) or something similar, this will be an improvement, but it WILL NOT get you to OPTIMAL HEALTH - and, shouldn’t that be the goal?

Good advice ... but ...
It's good advice overall, but the book lacks originality. It's more or less a rehash of other peoples research and recommendations.

Amazing Listen
What a wonderful book! Jam packed with so much important information to live a healthy long life. I enjoyed how the book was broken into 3 sections , and how each chapter started with a relatable question. I’ve been telling everyone to give it a listen (or read)! Thank you!

Don't waste your time or money
Uninspiring content, he quotes research findings but for the most part is sharing his own bias opinions. Skip this and read something from a professional because he is definitely not.
