Amazing book, but not a great reader
Amazing book and information but the reader is not strong. I wish Dr. Fuhrman had read it himself or hired a professional to read it for him. This reader actually stumbled over his words quite frequently and it often seemed like he wasn’t fully understanding the words he himself was saying. I hope they redo the recording with a better, more engaging reader so that this information is more easily accessible to more people.

Life changing!
Absolutely life changing. A life or death MUST READ for every human. Only complaint is the narrator - this book needs to be redone by a professional performer.
I still very highly recommend the Audio book just to get the invaluable information.

Great listen... probably buy the print as well
This is a great intro to the nutritarian lifestyle. My only hold back is that there are visuals and references that are talked about in the print version but not available to an audible user.

Such an amazing and informative book! Dr Furhman encourages and motivates me to not only eat nutritious food to lose weight but also highlights the magnificent benefits of eating fresh fruits, vegetables, mushrooms and beans in fighting diabetes, obesity, cancer etc. Would highly recommend to anyone

Excellent Book Excellent Program
The advice from books such as Pritikin, How Not to Die, The China Study and many more is fairly uniform and consistent. Plant based whole foods is superior nutrition. But no matter how many times you hear advice, sometimes you need to hear it one more time for it to click. Dr. Fuhrman's Eat to Live "clicked" for me. The science is robust and his advice and his program has elegance in its simplicity. I bought the hard copy of the companion cookbook and will likely re-listen to Eat to Live a few more times.

Literally life changing
After being diagnosed as pre-diabetic, with high blood pressure and high cholesterol at 41 years old and 279lbs, I wanted to seek out a natural solution rather than medication. A friend turned me onto this book and it literally changed my life, in the first 3 months I lost 52 lbs, my A1C normalized, my blood pressure went dramatically down and my cholesterol went back into the normal range.
I’ve always been in good shape, regularly exercising and playing sports weekly at a higher level. So I was concerned about performance and energy levels going on the plan. The first week I felt low at times as I detoxed and adjusted to the new way of eating but after that it was amazing to me how good I felt, I now have better performance, recovery and stamina. 5 years in I am now over 85 lbs lighter, stronger, I’ve totally reversed my diabetes and my blood pressure and cholesterol to quote my doctor are “impressive”
Thank you Dr Furman for literally saving my life!
