About this listen

Best-selling author and spiritual guide Eckhart Tolle led a remarkable two-day retreat at Findhorn, Scotland, a community on the leading edge of personal and global transformation. His weekend talks, captured on audio, create a deeply moving experience for listeners. Speaking on the subject of stillness, which he describes as a doorway into the Now and to true personal enlightenment, Tolle shows listeners how to find stillness in the present moment and enter a deeper dimension of peace and fulfillment. His practical, powerful tools for transformation offer the clear guidance needed to realize the magic of every moment and to reconnect to the sacredness of life and of being. Tolle's lighthearted delivery lends sparkling highlights to the jewels of wisdom that he shares, words that convey, with the timeless clarity of ancient spiritual masters, a simple yet profound message of hope.©2005 Eckhart Tolle (P)2005 New World Library and Eckhart Teachings, Inc. Awesome!

For some reason, I was ready to hear the message. It is salvation itself, the realization that we don’t need to live and die in the grip of a mind filled with negativity that clouds our vision to the beauty of life.

Hear the same thing but, always sounds different

I'm from Scotland so this one seemed
to have special meaning. I felt a personal connection.

I Always Return Back to this Masterpiece

I have read and listened to several books/audiobooks by Eckhart, but this is by far my favourite. It encompasses so much wisdom that words don't do it justice. As Eckhart would say, the words are just "pointers" or "labels" anyway.

I do listen to other audiobooks as part of my Audible subscription, however, I always find a way to work this audiobook back into the rotation - I use it as a reminder of what is truly important to me, because it's so easy to get sidetracked with daily life. I have listened to it at least a dozen times and always find something new that resonates with me every time. I just happened to take it out of the library on CD, several years ago.

One person pointed out that "it wasn't for them" and I understand that comment. I do think that anyone can extract value from this material but it does have more impact if you are already down your own path to spiritual wisdom - the words will certainly be more meaningful.

I highly recommend purchasing this Audiobook. It starts out a little slow and you may be wondering what the heck all of these reviewers are talking about - but just go with it, and you will start to understand where we are coming from...

Dave
