Publisher's Summary

The first three audiobooks in the best-selling Emily Windsnap series. An enchanting fantasy series which deals with universal themes of family, friendship, love and justice.

Book one:

Emily Windsnap lives on a boat, but her mother has always been oddly anxious to keep her out of the water. It is only when Emily has her first school swimming lesson that she discovers why: as soon as she gets into the water, she grows a tail!

Soon Emily discovers a glorious underwater world of fishes, coral, shipwrecks and mermaids, and - best of all - she finds a best friend! With mermaid Shona Silkfin by her side, Emily uncovers a surprising family secret and embarks on a quest to reunite her mum and dad.

Book two:

Emily Windsnap is thrilled to arrive at her new home - a secret island near the Bermuda Triangle where humans and merfolk live together and where being a girl who grows a tail as soon as she enters the water isn't a problem.

But she can't resist exploring forbidden places, and, as a result, she inadvertently wakes the kraken - the legendary sea monster that has been asleep for 200 years!

Emily tries to undo the damage as the kraken's terrifying tentacles rise from the deep!

Book three:

The magic ring that Emily Windsnap - half mermaid, half ordinary girl - finds buried in the sand belongs to Neptune, and he wants it back. But the ring, once on, won't come off, and an angry Neptune sends Emily's boat spinning away across the sea. When it comes to rest, she and her best friend, Shona, can see a mysterious castle shimmering in the mist on the horizon.

Skips an entire character introduction

So at first I loved it but then there is this part in chapter four where it says, “I went to bed early tonight so I could get a few hours sleep before meeting Shona” Which would make sense right? But the thing is… we’ve never met a character named Shona! It keeps on going on about things like, “I got there first this time” like there was another time! Then another mermaid “Shona” appears and takes them to, “The place they first met” As if they’ve met before but they haven’t. How did they manage to miss an entire character introduction? And it can’t be a mysterious character that were meeting now and it’s supposed to be like that because Shona is also a mermaid and Emily hasn’t met Shona before discovering she is a mermaid. She should be shocked to find another mermaid but she’s acting like this is all normal. So confusing. I even listened to it on other devices to make sure it wasn’t a glitch and I got the same result. But up till that the story was great and I loved the narration so if you can get through the whole casual skipping a character intro its pretty good.
