About this listen
The "queen of beach reads” (New York Magazine) presents nine captivating stories of summer on Nantucket—and days that last forever—to carry us through when those warm sandy days feel far off.
Inside the collection, you'll find:
• Three years after Mallory Blessing's death (in 28 Summers), her friends gather for another eventful Labor Day celebration on Nantucket in "The Sixth Wedding."
• The marriage at the heart of Beautiful Day enters uncertain territory when Margot Carmichael encourages her husband to reunite with his ex-girlfriend in "The Surfing Lesson."
• In "The Tailgate" the weekend of a Harvard/Yale football game recharts the course of "Matchmaker" Dabney Kimball's first—and abiding—true love.
• In "Summer of '79," the three Levin sisters reunite after a decade after the summer that changed everything.
• And more . . .
With a foreword by Elin Hilderbrand about the writer's reluctance to leave treasured characters behind and a prefatory, "behind-the-scenes" note included with each story, this book answers the prayers of both new and seasoned listeners everywhere who, like the Kirkus reviewer, "would rather be living in an Elin Hilderbrand novel."

Story
In this moving story about losing and finding love again, a woman sets out to find the perfect matches for those closest to her. Forty-eight-year-old Nantucketer Dabney Kimball Beech has always had a gift for matchmaking. Some call her ability mystical, while others, her husband, celebrated economist John Boxmiller Beech, and her daughter, Agnes, who is clearly engaged to the wrong man, call it meddlesome. But there's no arguing with her results: With 42 happy couples to her credit and all of them still together, Dabney has never been wrong about romance.

An absolute GIFT for the Elin fan
I have read or listened to EVERY single one of Elin’s books. I am a huge fan!
This book was like a treat to not only read new material but also catch up with favourite characters from previous books.
What a gift!
I savoured each paragraph!

Not the best book
I love Elin’s book, but this is just a poor attempt to sell a book. The author gather all pieces of previous work and put them together. It’s hard to follow, hard to understand, plenty of characters from other books. I wouldn’t recommend this book, but I would definitely recommend the author
