Publisher's Summary

The man who brought the kavorka to the Seinfeld show through one of the most remarkable and beloved television characters ever invented, Kramer, shares the extraordinary life of a comedy genius—the way he came into himself as an artist, the ups and downs as a human being, the road he has traveled in search of understanding.

“The hair, so essential, symbolizes the irrational that was and is and always will be the underlying feature not only of Kramer but of comedy itself. This seemingly senseless spirit has been coursing through me since childhood. I’ve been under its almighty influence since the day I came into this world. I felt it all within myself, especially the physical comedy, the body movements, so freakish and undignified, where I bumped into things, knocked stuff down, messed up situations, and often ended up on my ass.

“This book is a hymn to the irrational, the senseless spirit that breaks the whole into pieces, a reflection on the seemingly absurd difficulties that intrude upon us all. It’s Harpo Marx turning us about, shaking up my plans, throwing me for a loop. Upset and turmoil is with us all the time. It’s at the basis of comedy. It’s the pratfall we all take. It’s the unavoidable mistake we didn’t expect. It’s everywhere I go. It’s in the way that I am, both light and dark, good and not-so-good. It’s my life.”—Michael Richards, from Entrances and Exits

Richards in the raw.

I really appreciated to hear Michaels Richard's life story. Often only known as "Kramer", we forget a person's personal journey with insecurities, fears and self doubts. A real treat.

A great read!

It was like coming home reading Michael Richard's book. Loved hearing about the bond you still have with Jerry. A loyal friend. When the incident happened during your stand up I didn't care to read anything that was said about that night. I feel like I know your heart so I didn't pay attention to any of the gossip. Glad to see you back. I was also happy to heat about your family and your amazing home.
❤️ Much love from a fan!

A story about a man you thought you knew

I absolutely love this book. He gave me an insight into the man Michael Richards is… the human being, the larger than life character of Cosmo Kramer.

This book may not be for everybody as Michael is a little bit more of a artist then one might assume. He ponders the questions about life, the universe and our existence.. and walk you through his process of finding and grounding the character that we all love so much.

Thank you for such a beautiful book and sharing this with the world. And I wish him nothing but love, peace, and happiness.

Giddy up!

Thank You Michael!

This memoir reveals a terrific insight, not only to the man who embraces the Hero's journey of self redemption - "Know Thyself" - but also to the force of inspiration within ourselves to heal and communicate. Very well written and narrated in such an intimate and heartfelt way. Now that I'm finished I miss it, feeling like I've made a new friend. Will purchase the book now, to get the images (and read it again!).
Thanks Michael! Loved it.

Interesting, mostly deep self reflections

I enjoyed the audiobook and the narration. there was a lot less tidbits about the Seinfeld show and much more about his deep inner self-reflections about life.

Thank you Mr. Richards

"Entrances and Exits" by Michael Richards is one of the most personal, jarring, and transcendent autobiographies I've ever read. Michael hasn't just written a book; he's laid bare his life for us. This memoir goes beyond detailing his time leading up to, during, and after Seinfeld—it delves deep into his spiritual journey and the dark recesses of his mind.

Richards shares his experiences in a way that pulls you in, making you feel like you're walking this path alongside him. The stories are so relatable that it's not just his journey you're reading about; it's a shared experience. The book is haunting, leaving thoughts that linger long after the last page.

But what struck me the most is the sense of peace Michael seems to have found. It’s a reminder that no matter how dark life gets, there’s always hope to find light in the end. This book will stay with me for a long time.

I've never felt so compelled to write a review about anything. Thank you Mr. Richards.
