Narrated by a robot

The first 7 books in this series were narrated by Braden Wright and were excellent. This book's narrator is monotone, with no inflection whatsoever, no accents, no differentiation between character voices, genders or ages. Is seems like it is being read by a computer from the 1980's. Words are mispronounced, speech style without inflection is confusing.
