great series

I liked the overall flow of the book. Went well, not too many cringy moments and took me through a slew of emotions. the only thing I didn't like was the jumping between characters maddi and Hanna. I would have liked it more if the reader could have separated the voice narration a little more as when it first happened it was quite confusing. other than that good series.

Eternal online

Excellent story and the best narrator I have heard. The story was exciting and heartfelt. I hope the author will continue this story in the future

Good story and amazing narrator

Story is quite good although I mostly bought the book because the narrator is one of my favorites.

Characters are interesting and the plot moves quickly. There are cute slice of life moments mixed in with serious and epic quests all in a pretty interesting world with its own mechanics and lore.

My only complaint is that for an audiobook, the constant POV changes between the characters without having audibly distinct "mental voices" was a bit hard to get used to.

Great performance but unbelievable main character

First off, I need to rave about the narrator. She is absolutely amazing and really brings things to life. I can't say I've ever been as impressed with a narrator before.

The story is good, and makes for a good spin on reason behind why the main character is in a litrpg and I think the pacing is pretty spot on.

The one item that really bothered me though is the choices of the main character. Even though they are on a very tight timeline and missing that timeline would have massive reprocussions for them they seem to get sidetracked and distracted with ease and make their progress due to sheer luck more than any effort on their part.

Narrator is Boss Level

The story is easily relatable, has a solid flow from multiple viewpoints. great development of the main characters. The star of this to me though was the narration Andrea Parsneau has such a wide range of tones and pitches, accompanied by multiple accents. Will fully recommend anymore of her works.

best narrator hands down

really enjoyed this series. Andrea Parenteau is by far my favorite narrator!
if I had to nitpick the colorful non swears were annoying. plus why give Hitpoints when the main characters are one shotting high hit point monsters.
would strongly recommend!

why does this book have so many good reviews?

honestly a really basic book. there was nothing new or exciting to differentiate it from any of the other similar style books that I've read. The story progression is also extremely slow. if you have listened to books like this before, I would not bother. also all of the fake laughing by the narrator doesn't help the story.

Good VA, NOT a LitRPG

The VA was great for the most part, save for the same annoying laugh that all characters seem to have.

Book 1 was an overall great LitRPG experience with there being a good balance between story and game elements.

Book 2 strays away from those game elements and replaces them with useless POVs of side characters. And begins the filler quotes before each chapter.

Book 3 literally states that this is not a game, meaning the LitRPG description of the series is a lie, and should be discarded. Needless to say, the book loses all game elements and becomes a fantasy adventure instead.

A big issue across all three books is the terrible romance between the MC and side character. They have no romantic chemistry, yet the author forces them together at the very end. Even worse, the side character is 18 years old who ends up having a physical relationship with the under-age MC, making for a very disturbing scene.

Another side character who held many of the second and third book’s chapters has their arc resolved in 3 sentences in book 3, again, making their entire experience disappointing.
