Publisher's Summary

As coaches to some of golf's top players, Pia Nilsson and Lynn Marriott have designed and refined a revolutionary way of teaching the game, with phenomenal results. They don't believe in prescribing the same stance, grip, and swing to everyone, followed by hours of purposeless drilling. They don't even believe in beginning with physical technique. Their success has proven to them that a great game begins with a great vision.

Unlike any other golf book, Every Shot Must Have a Purpose offers cutting-edge techniques for integrating the physical, technical, mental, emotional, and social parts of a player's game. Emphasizing the individual golfer rather than a rigid set of mechanics, their VISION54 method takes the frustration out of the game. Why 54? Because they believe it's possible to shoot a 54 (making a birdie on every hole of a par-72 course) if you have the right mindset and well-honed intuitive power.

Life changing book

While the subject matter is golf the philosophies and ideas could relate to life in general. Just am amazing read/listen. The narrator has great pace and reads the book well.

More prepared to enjoy the game than ever

Many years ago I read The Inner Game of Tennis - it informed my view not only of tennis and other sports but many other aspects of life. Unfortunately I had great difficulty transferring that knowledge to golf. (Including reading The Inner Game of Golf - quite a let down). This book serves as the equal to the former and in fact aligns with it in many ways BUT comes from a true golf knowledge base. Great read. I plan to enjoy the game much more now.

good book for golfers of every type

I always knrw golf was more mental than physical, and now I can fully understand why. Golf is tge ultimate mental game... but the thing that makes it perfect is that your opponent is yourself. Learning to overcome this challenge, i found, is really the message of this book.
