A great retelling of the Arthurian saga

Jonathan Keeble delivers again as a first rate narrator. I appreciated that this story was a trilogy and Cornwell's adaptation was excellent. Great characters, detailed depiction of the era, and entirely believable story.

Winning Combination

The vocal and acting skills of Jonathan Keeble are a perfect match for the story-telling genius of Bernard Cornwell. The whole Warlord Chronicles trilogy deserves 5 stars. Cornwell has created the most compelling representation of the Arthur legend I've encountered. And Keeble, with his magical voice, brings it all alive.

Among Cornwells best series by far.

Keeble does a wonderful job narrating as usual and Cornwell is a master of "historical fiction". He brought this Aurtherian tell to life in a unique and extremely entertaining way. I can't recommend it enough.

Great ending to this Trilogy

Highlights the bigotry of humanity quite well. Thoroughly enjoyed this novel. Once again portrayed the Arthurian Legend in a down to earth way. The usage of Magic is all about perception. This was my favorite novel out of the trilogy.
