À propos de cet audio
Earth's Star Force Marines invade an alien world!
In the second book of the Star Force series, Kyle Riggs has another bad year. The Nano ships have a new mission - one that sentences their pilots to death. Meanwhile, the governments of Earth want to steal Star Force's Nano technology for their own. Worst of all, Earth has made a promise to the Macros, and the machines are coming to collect.
Extinction is the story of Earth's entry into an interstellar war between living creatures and machines. And to buy the peace, we've signed up with the machines.

Was hoping it would get better
Never thought I’d rate a B.V. Larson book so low…
Though there’s a lot of good elements that I had hoped would develop well, I was disappointed.
The main character Kyle Riggs is and ex military, ex teacher, ex farmer who’s whole family gets slaughtered. He then finds himself leading earths new star force powered by advanced alien nanotechnology, and with some hot Latina who’s all over him all the time. Kyle is the most unlikeable main character I’ve run into. He’s an annoying, dumb, super arrogant, condescending Pompous asshole, especially to his nympho girlfriend who’s half his age. They’re forced on a mission by overlord robots to conquer an alien robot, apparently bringing earths dullest of soldiers. I spent the whole book hoping he would die as get replaced with a better protagonist.
The alien AIs are all just as stupid, like shockingly stupid for an alien artificial intelligence that supposedly has all “biotics” at their knees.
The majority of the book is just dealing with communicating with these AIs that speak English just fine but have the comprehension level of a 2 year old… it’s painful and annoying. I’m shocked to see there’s so many books in this series. Which is why I tried the second book hoping it wouldn’t be as bleh as the first one.
B.V. Larson is a good writer and I’ve highly enjoyed all of his sci-fi series’ that I’ve listened to so far, except this one. Mark Boyette is a pretty good narrator, he did a phenomenal job in the Undying Mercenary Series(in my top 5 book series) but everytime the “Robinson” character spoke, I thought Centurion Graves, and with his girlfriend Sandra her voice and accent was identical to one of Riggs’s commanders. Making it extremely difficult to tell who’s talking…
All in all there are way way better books out there by BV. Larson. I’d check those out first if I were you
