About this listen

Darkness descends over the survivors of the Extinction Cycle....

With nowhere left to run, the Allied States fortifies their few remaining outposts and relocates Central Command to prepare for their final stand. President Jan Ringgold and her generals know beating the enemy on the battlefield is impossible. The only path to victory seems to be taking down the leader of the New Gods, a sinister Chimera known as the Prophet, before he can complete his campaign to enslave humanity.

While Captain Reed Beckham trains new troops, his wife Doctor Kate Lovato returns to the tunnels to infiltrate the bioengineered enemy communication network. Injured and exhausted, Master Sergeant Fitzpatrick and Team Ghost make their way back from Canada with a Chimera prisoner that might be the key to finding the Prophet and raising a new army.

In this thrilling conclusion to the Extinction Cycle series, humanity bands together one last time against the Variants. But time has run out for the heroes of the first war to save what remains of the Allied States and, perhaps, the world.

Fitting end to an exceptional series.

Review is based on entire series as a whole.
NSS and AJM have brought the whole story to a gratifying and wholey satisfying end.
With RCB reading, it was just a sure fire win for me.
Highly recommended.
I would certainly suggest the earlier series as well, read by Bronson Pinchot. He's not RCB, but once your in, he holds you there.
Take a chance!

RC does it again

I love the last book in the series I listen to every single one and I have not been disappointed RC Bray is one of the greatest narrator and brings every story to life

Sub par effort

Repetitive, cartoonish B movie dialogue at times. Overacting by the narrator in an effort to save the story made it worse.

Glad it's over

I hate giving a crappy review but I felt this story was like beating a dead horse. It was repetitive and monotonous. Even though the characters were the same throughout the books, I didn't feel any "relationship" with them. In fact, some were so irritating I kept thinking, "OMG, just kill them off so I don't have to listen to this anymore."
I loved the Hell Divers series and RC Bray is phenomenal so I bought this series a couple years ago. I went on faith. Too late to return them, so I listened to them all.
This series was like one long cheesy movie. Not a good cheesy, with lots of laughs, but a bad cheesy that didn't quite hit the mark. All I could picture were those rubber lizard aliens from the original Star Trek series. And what was with the cutlasses?
I almost got eye strain from rolling my eyes so much.
I can't recommend this series.
RC Bray is the only reason I could get through it all. He rocks as usual.
