From a renowned behavioral neuroscientist and recovering addict, a rare pause-resisting work of science that draws on personal insights to reveal how drugs work, the dangerous hold they can take on the brain, and the surprising way to combat today's epidemic of addiction. Judith Grisel was a daily drug user and college dropout when she began to consider that her addiction might have a cure, one that she herself could perhaps discover by studying the brain. Now, after 25 years as a neuroscientist, she shares what she and other scientists have learned about addiction.

Story
We all want love. Everything we do is in pursuit of love, but that journey has gotten difficult and complicated. We're programmed to seek love outside of ourselves, and we're trained that love is something to earn, or a destination to reach; that programming blinds us to the simple truth that we are beautiful, eternal sources of love, and to BE LOVED is to BE LOVE.

hate the Voice reading the book
It has a lot of info and with most psychological books you have to understand its not always true in all cases. lots of good info. I found it hard to listen to this audio version because the voice is so bad. would have preferred a female British voice!
