Fantastic Story

This was my fist Warhammer 40k novel, while I've always enjoyed the lore I had never taken up any of the books. I'm glad I started with this one. The Adepta Sororitas are a favorite faction of mine, and the humanization of them in this story makes them so much more then the zealots the codex lore often portrays them as.

Amazing Performance..Good Story

It’s a good story with some memorable characters however reviews saying the main character is boring are not wrong. The story can also drag on in some parts. However, that being said, any shortcomings are more than made up for by the fantastic performance. One of the best truly, I couldn’t imagine anyone else going the sisters. Not only that but her male voices are also fantastic, truly an immersive listening experience. This book is worth a listen just based on Emma Gregory’s outstanding performance.

The Emperor Protects

Nuns with guns? No. So much more are these devout sisters of battle. This perfectly narrated tale of sisterhood and obedience tested felt too short, but in such a good way. It is rich with distinct characters, all incredibly acted out through Emma Gregory’s flawless reading. If you want to learn more about the Adepta Sororitas or simply want to listen to a fun, bloody, and frantic tale about tests of faith and honour, and the odd chuckle at how insanely devout these women are, look no further than this awesome book!

Not my favorite.

I really like adepta sororitas but too many plot contrivances and lackluster characters marred this story for me and broke my immersion. The weakest 40k lore book I’ve listened to to date. I’d recommend the book “Celestine” for fans of the faction.

The narration was fine though.
