About this listen

“You’ll always be mine.”

The latest taunt from my stalker reminded me I was nothing more than a possession to my father, to the Reapers, to Archer D’Ath. Even to Kody and Steele. Princess Danvers - the prize.

His wife.

Archer D’Ath’s wife.

I hate them. They lied to me. Over and over again. I knew they were lying, and I hate myself for letting it happen. For believing in the fake relationships I want so desperately to be real.

Fake. It’s all f--king fake. My stalker won’t let me go. None of them will. Archer and his boys think they control me. My stalker wants to possess me. I’m not an idiot, I know my newest allies are using me, too.

That’s fine. I’ll use all of them. I’ll use them to take back what’s mine. My life. My freedom. My name.

No one owns Madison Kate Danvers.

Fake is a full-length college/new-adult romance with enemies-to-lovers/love-hate themes. This is a reverse-harem novel, meaning the main character has more than one love interest. This is book three of four in the series.

A Rollercoaster of Emotions and Twists

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Heat Level: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
📚E-BOOK📚&🎧AUDIO🎧

Once again, I can’t recommend this audiobook enough! *Fake* absolutely blew my mind. Book 3 in the *Madison Kate* series picks up exactly where the second left off, and that means starting off by bawling my eyes out! This book begins with a BANG and ends with an even BIGGER one. It’s by far the most emotional installment, and I found myself ugly crying more times than I can count.

The story continues to deliver high-stakes tension, especially after the shocking revelation that MK's father sold her to Archer D’Ath. Now, legally married to him, Madison is left to navigate the crushing weight of lies and secrets surrounding her relationships with Archer, Max (Steele), and Kody. The way she battles her conflicted feelings about them, while calling Archer out on his nonsense, was deeply satisfying. When Archer finally opens up and reveals *some* of his secrets, the dynamic between them shifts beautifully. It doesn’t erase their history but strengthens their bond as they grow closer, making their relationship feel more real and intense.

I loved how Kody and Steele both took responsibility for their past actions after the bombshell at the end of Book 2. Their methods of making amends were different, showcasing their individuality—one of the many strengths of this series. These characters feel real, flawed, and human, and it makes the entire journey feel raw and genuine.

My favorite quote, without a doubt:
"You're my whole world, Kate," he whispered in my ear as he fastened my jeans again. "You're my reason for breathing, and I'll personally slit the throats of anyone who tries to take you away from me."

It's moments like these that show just how deep Archer’s devotion runs, and honestly, who can resist the intensity?

Thank goodness the entire series is out because I don’t think I could survive the agonizing wait between cliffhangers! *Fake* takes the tension, the stakes, and the emotion to a whole new level. Tate James knows how to keep you hooked until the very last second, leaving you desperate for more.

Amazing narration and great story

All of the books in this series are amazing and the narration is some of the best I've heard. it's almost like listening to a live play. However, one small criticism would be pronunciation of some words. the word Macabre - the re is silent, ogling is not pronounced O-goling, things like that could maybe be picked up in an edit. Otherwise I would say these books are amazballs! Love Love Love them!

jaw never left the floor from book 2

🩷DUET NARRATION

Just as the fisr book The narrators did a fabulous Job voicing each character. It was so easy to tell who was who and they were just great all around. They really brought each character to life with their personality and emotions.

I highly recommend listening to the audiobooks.

My jaw was on the floor at the end of book 2 and it stayed on the floor at the beginning of book 3.
Like what !?

So much happened in this book
The relationship re-buildings ( kody is 100% TEAM MK and I love it. ) the spice. More action in all scenarios.

And I said it in the first book I'll say it again

The sunshine mother effer weesled his way into my heart more. ( ever since MKs had her OD I fell for Archer. Let's be real he's a secret softy and now we get to see more of it . I can't wait to see that grow in the last book because. Slay)

I also have mad love for the other two like , hello Max Steele * eyebrow waggles*

Our stalker is more bold and give me the creeps and I have no idea who it is still. Like I have ideas but I hope I'm wrong. I think this will be a case of we won't know until it's revealed.

Our guy friend not our friend gives me the ick. Since we first met him but now he's like .... no thank Yom hanks.

Bree. Is Queen I love her

And again my jaw ended up on the floor at the end of this book

My heart can't handle these lol
