Family is everything to Brielle, so when she learns about an opportunity to free her mother from Demon City, she takes it. No matter how dangerous, Brielle will do anything to unite her family in Angel City. All is going according to plan, until her brother's awakening ceremony. What he is...it shocks everyone, and he's sent away until he can get his powers under control.
Then Brielle loses someone precious to her and goes to great lengths to get them back, lengths with which Lincoln doesn't agree. He thinks Brielle is too much of a risk-taker, too wild, and all he can do is try his best to protect her. But with untold powers rising inside of her, Brielle might go to a place from which no one can bring her back. Not even Lincoln.

I kept waiting through the whole book for the predictable to happen. Despite that, it's what comes next that isn't. Excited for the next book.

Another good one
Decided to write a review for this. I listen to this quite a while ago. But thought I should just give us a tiny little bit of a heads up when listening to a narration done by Vanessa Moyen. She is a good narrator, but talks a little too fast for my liking. What I did is I changed the speed to .8. Then her voice was more manageable.
I listened to the whole series. It definitely is worth getting.

Great second book
I am enjoying the series and can't wait to find out what happens next. Loving her group of friends and Lincoln.
Vanessa Moyen is killing it as the narrator and makes it easy to tell who each character is by the voices she gives them.

Great second book to the series!
I'm sad that these books are only 5 or so hours long. I seem to be flying through them, unable to wait and see what happens next.
also I wish this audio book came with pictures if everyone is as hot as they describe ;)

Boring. Narrator too fast.
The book was boring, and too short for the cost. The narrator should only narrate comedies. There was no change in her tone no matter if it were serious or funny. These books could have easily been 1 or 2 books instead of 4. Questioning whether to continue.
