What the critics say

"Narrator Kimberly Farr convincingly delivers the jaded viewpoint of privileged 17-year-old Carrie Sinclair, who recounts the worst thing she ever did in her childhood.... Farr captures the tense tone of a story in which events build dramatically, unexpected happenings add darkness, and surprises lurk around every corner." (AudioFile)

great storytelling

this book paints a stunningly haunting picture in your mind all the way through, although i’d only felt truly immersed by chapter 25. it felt as though it took a bit too long to pick up, but it left me wanting more. well done

Just ok

Not as exciting as WWL. I felt the story to be pretty uneventful and dragged out.
I also thought the narrator had too mature of a voice to be narrating a 17 year old- or even a 45 year old.
She did a good job performing! But her voice would be better used as a narrator, not a character

If you liked the first one, this is for you!

I should note that the first was not my all-time favourite. But I liked it a lot. Therefore, my recommendation is this: If you read and liked the first, you’ll love this.
