About this listen
Six months. Seventeen countries. Two clueless cyclists riding to bring light to the darkest of places.
In 2016, Joel and Brad cycled from Belgium to India in support of women and children impacted by human trafficking. Their resolve was tested by crooked cops, rogue truckers, mountain passes, and the unrelenting desert sun. When the obstacles seemed insurmountable, the kindness of strangers and the strength of their purpose kept them moving forward. This is the ridiculous story of two young men who wanted to make a difference in the world but forgot to bring a map. Enjoy the journey!

Coffee chat with Joel
This whole book felt like I was sitting down with Joel over some coffee and recapping his once in a lifetime ride for freedom. Such kindness and care in every story.

Amazing! A must listen.
This is a beautifully written real life story that features adventure, grit, humour and glimpses into the inner turmoil that inspired the journey. The fact that the the author is telling his own story makes it even more compelling and personal. I felt like I was along for the ride. It's honest, raw, and goes places you might not expect.

What a trip!
I didn't dislike anything. I loved the flow, it is very easy listening with t author's reading, and the author's self reflection/awareness precious and is very humbling to read!

Wow
Thank you Joel and Brad for taking on such an incredible journey for the countless women and children that are forced/sold into sex trades and for the organizations across the world that exist to provide hope, safety and freedom for them.
Joel’s raw vulnerability and detailed writing has inspired me further to write about some of my experiences and how transformative they have been for me and how I can hopefully inspire others in some way shape or form.
There were moments where I felt I was right there with you guys, not physically but mentally, emotionally and spiritually. I’d be lying if I didn’t giggle at moments when you talked about not planning routes or food accordingly cause that’s something I would/have done and therefore feeling “normal” or that it’s not just me.
Thank you!!
