About this listen
In Karen Marie Moning's latest installment of the epic number one New York Times best-selling Fever series, Mac, Barrons, Ryodan, and Jada are back - and the stakes have never been higher and the chemistry has never been hotter. Hurtling us into a realm of labyrinthine intrigue and consummate seduction, Feverborn is a riveting tale of ancient evil, lust, betrayal, forgiveness, and the redemptive power of love.
When the immortal Fae destroyed the ancient wall dividing the worlds of Man and Faery, the very fabric of the universe was damaged, and now Earth is vanishing bit by bit. Only the long-lost Song of Making - a haunting, dangerous melody that is the source of life itself - can save the planet.
But those who seek the mythic song must contend with old wounds and new enemies, passions that burn hot and hunger for vengeance that runs deep. The challenges are many: the Keltar at war with nine immortals who've secretly ruled Dublin for eons, Mac and Jada hunted by the masses, the Seelie queen nowhere to be found, and the most powerful Unseelie prince in all creation determined to rule both Fae and Man. Now the task of solving the ancient riddle of the Song of Making falls to a band of deadly warriors divided among - and within - themselves.
Once a normal city possessing a touch of ancient magic, Dublin is now a treacherously magical city with only a touch of normal. And on those war-torn streets, Mac will come face-to-face with her most savage enemy yet: herself.

Narration fail
Female narrator provides a strange Jamaican like accent for the Irish characters which is in such stark contrast to the well done accents of the previously narrated books. Found this books change in both of the narrators was jarring and grating when the reader is listening to all of the books in succession.

The male narrator is so different
Not a fan of the new male narrator, I really enjoyed the previous one, suited more to the males in this series. But i love Karen's work and love her characters.

Feverborn / Fever Series
Luke and Jill did an awesome job and this in no way has anything to do with their voice. But I had wished the same voice had been played throughout the whole series (and I'm not alone in this). This was such a great, amazing, thrilling story, I had to purchase two sets so I could have a new set in my bookshelf. I likewise wanted to hear it inaudible so I am also buying it. Thank you, Karen, for such a smashing series, I can't wait to read more!

Not the same without Phil
Although this book is another magnificent addition to the series, I hate that they switched up the male narrators voice. Phil does such a great job on the previous books, so the switch to listening to Luke is what I imagine it would be like to own and drive a Lamborghini Countach and then be made to ride public transit on a day where everyone has bad gas.
I hope they bring back Phil.
But great book and well worth the read/listen.

great story - horrible male narration
another great story in the series with twists and turns and thoughts that you've never seen coming. ideas that make you second-guess yourself and the characters and it is just a fun-filled joyride. except for the fact that the male narrator really didn't get the memo, did he?
not only does he turn a deep, darkly dangerous brooding man into a pithy metrosexual, a few of his characters have completely got wrong
Ian MacKeltar. You think the name would give it away that he's scottish, no?
Yet for the first third of the book anytime his character speaks, he sounds like some guy from northeastern USA. Then suddenly, magically he has a Scottish brogue but it's so Ott that it doesn't suit the character at all. Where is the mystery the strangeness the discordance of a Fae Prince? the pacing and the unusual voice? all the elements which are basically the whole point of the character as he is transitioning.
And Dancer? Were his parents not from australia? why does he suddenly sound like the Lucky Charms leprechaun? - absolutely horrible.
But really it's the voices of Barons and Ryoden that are just cringy to listen to.
I know the authors don't get to choose the narrators and Karen Moning must have
been frustrated and angry right out of her boots.
so a tough one because the story is good but the narration almost ruins it
