A Modern Farytale

If you like LitRPG game stories and the darker fairytales, then this could be the book for you.

It has good potential if you can stay with it past the wold building at the start.

As a 30-year-old, I found I could not get invested in the teenage protagonist and quite early in the first book.

immersive story environment

Well thought through, and the different characters are given good individual personalities, with spot on narration. I especially enjoyed getting into marny's head in book 6, since she is an altogether unique character compared to the rest.

more stories in this world are now required.

Amy Landon is a Boss

decent story telling. Alot of proper fokelore referances and nuance that tells you someone did proper research. For me though the narration was so on point I have to give Ms. Landon props. Her characters drew me in and kept me there. Will be looking for more of her.

Boring & NOT a LitRPG!

- Most of the story takes place outside of Feyland
-There's literally ZERO class, skill, mana, health, etc. description. Utterly no Character & Class ability description aside from initial character build which is also very minimal. They're like hey, I'm an Assasin, Knight, Warrior, etc. Nothing about appearance, race, skin, hair, clothing, armor, etc. Nothing pertaining to race or class specific qualities
-There is noooooo humor, everything is described so poorly & in such boring manner. Snooze fest
-The story concept regarding Feyland, fairies, & carry over from virtual world to real is OK at best
-Worst I ever listened to or read
-I typically never give such negative review but this is 2nd story / books I've had to quit because it's so boring & it is NOT a LitRPG. You could literally call it false advertisement.
-Anthea Sharp should learn what an actual LitRPG or GameLit is. Also, keep the story mostly in the gaming or similar world
