About this listen
One pilgrimage. One step closer.
The forces of good close in to bring peace to the continent. Because one keep is all that stands between him and pushing his opponents back to their homeland.
Illume and his team depart on an epic quest to rebuild the fallen keeps of the Raakmos and ensure the legendary monster hunters’ numbers increase once more. By building outposts and bases, increasing their strength at each turn will result in facing monsters they’ve never faced before...some so powerful they may result in this odyssey being the last for one of the new Raakmos’ guild.
Tag along as more fantastical beasts are found, new magical powers discovered, and old faces appear once again.

Much the same, yet still keeps you listening...
As a long time listener and reader of LiteRPGs and Fantasy novels, I often find that they all blend together after the 50 series or so. Yet every once in a while a series comes along, where despite the building struggles that face the main characters, you know they are going to prevail. Yet you as a reader/listener still find yourself intrigued and wanting more.
That is the case with this series for me. Even by Book 7, I still find the writing and narration holding my interest, and even though I can guess what is going to happen, I listen intently as Illume and team continue to face struggles that seem overwhelming.
I think the most interesting part of this series for me, which is well highlighted in this book, is how well Yanez and Buzzell highlight the fact that there are not only the in game battles and challenges that face Illume and the team, but also the fact that the world they are in is just a video game. And that returning to the "real world" is still a possibility. The addition of the guild mechanics and real world beta testers in this second part of this series has added a refreshing depth to the story, which in my opinion has helped hold interest in the series.
I very curious to see how Yanez and Buzzell will wrap everything up in the last novel. As Illume and Narrie balance the two worlds they face together.
