Publisher's Summary

Corbin is an adventurer; he just hasn’t realized it. He was born in the wrong age - an era where the world has already grown tame.

With the advent of fully immersive virtual reality, however, that’s all going to change.

A revolutionary new game - Chronicle - makes much bolder claims than the competition. It offers a perfect simulation in a new world with quests, magic, monsters, and gods - but Chronicle’s biggest draw is something irresistible: While players are logged in, they have extra time to live.

In Corbin’s world, he may be average; he may work hard for no recognition; he may never catch a break and he may seem trapped - but a new world brings new opportunities, and extra time presents an extra chance. Perhaps he’ll find that he’s not so average after all.

Editorial Review

With virtual reality technology, anything is possible. But what happens when the new world you dive into on-screen seems better than real life? First Login explores the digital and real-world experiences of Corbin’s main character and his journey into the known.

First Login is a classic LitRPG storyline in the perfect sci-fi fantasy setting. Book one of Kevin Murphy’s well-received Chronicle Series takes you into the world of a virtual reality game, allowing you to experience the quests and demands of the “Chronicle” game and Corbin’s everyday life in the real world.

In this fast-paced science fiction audiobook, narrator Nick Podehl brings all of the twists and turns and missions to life. Once you hit play on this LitRPG genre must-listen, you’ll be eager to follow Corbin’s action-filled adventures in the remaining titles of the trilogy.

Although the protagonist is fully immersed in Chronicle, he uses his discoveries from the virtual world to improve his luck in the real world. Trusting his newfound virtual resources and playing with get-rich-quick schemes, will Corbin succeed in building a better life than the one inside the screen? Hit play on this great read to find out - and get lost in the world of VR.

Loved it

I think this is my favorite LITRPG book so far, and I have read a lot of them. The MC can log out, death isn't permanent, and yet there is still a drive for power and progression. The MC isn't as big a fool as in some other books. I can't wait for book 2.

My only criticism would be to ALLOCATE YOUR DAMN SKILL POINTS.
