Not bad, but could be better

Considering the trauma and single parenthood, I don’t think things would have progressed as quickly as they did in the first couple chapters. But, I enjoyed the family they become. Feel the Runaldi facility could have been something left for another book and gone a different direction with her healing or family. Narration Of Patrick needed to be much better, compared to the last book.

Better then book 2 but still feels lacking

There was a deeper connection & true struggles to complete the mating bond in this book, unlike book 2 which I had such a hard time getting through!
The lead female character has a tragic backstory but it just makes her story of finding her strength & happiness so much sweeter.
The background story is finally coming along, it’s interesting enough but I can’t help but feel like something is missing…

Getting deeper into the lore

The romance is this series is m/f, shifter, insta-love, one-true-mate. And yet the romance/storyline doesn’t feel like the author has repeatedly reused 60% of her earlier content. This book is a great addition to the series plus it picks up more of the secondary storyline that was started in the previous book.

The narration was good. I recommend to the narrators to work on being able to give more of the main characters different vocal inflections to make them more distinct. You do have a handful of different vocal inflections already and I highly appreciate that especially when there are so many secondary characters. But there were still a few times in this book that I was confused about who was saying what.
