About this listen
I was never supposed to be a rock star. I had my life all planned out for me. Play football in college. Go to the NFL. Marry my high school sweetheart and live happily ever after.
I broke both our hearts that day when I told her I was leaving. I was young. I made the right decision for me, but the wrong decision for us. I've poured my soul into my music, but I've never forgotten her. Her smell, her smile.
And now I'm going back.
After 10 years.
I hope I can explain that after all this time.
I still want her to be my forever girl.

Pretty Great Read
Overall this was a good story. I like the way the author told the story in a real life way. The only thing that was a tad annoying was the way a person can be judged on something they knew nothing of.

Predictable But Enjoyable
Nothing really surprised me in this story, but I did enjoy listening to it. It's worth a credit. And I'm definitely going to be checking out the rest of the series.

Poor decisions
More importantly, poor handling of the situations when they arise. The overall plot is fine but the way Josie tries to control the situation with her son is irritating. I made it to Ch 12 and hopefully it gets better for the people that are in the same boat as me but read onward. Maybe this judginess is a mom thing. Then again, looking at my relationships with my parents, maybe it's not.
Also, Liam seems to forget himself and acts kind of inappropriately, even if it's subtle, in public and in front of Noah.
I saw that they made a movie out of this book, with a few differences, of course. It seems some of the qualms I have with this book are absent in the movie (based on the trailer), such as being more honest with the kid instead of trying to hide everything and answer with a "because I say so". Maybe parenting romances are not for me after all. Alas.
