Publisher's Summary

From “the most popular mystery writer alive” (The New York Times), the 27th entry in the number one New York Times best-selling series isn’t just the biggest case of Stephanie Plum’s career. It’s the adventure of a lifetime.

When Stephanie’s beloved Grandma Mazur’s new husband died on their wedding night, the only thing he left her was a beat-up old easy chair...and the keys to a life-changing fortune.

But as Stephanie and Grandma Mazur search for Jimmy Rosolli’s treasure, they discover that they’re not the only ones on the hunt. Two dangerous enemies from the past stand in their way - along with a new adversary who’s even more formidable: Gabriela Rose, a dark-eyed beauty from Little Havana with a taste for designer clothes. She’s also a soldier of fortune, a gourmet cook, an expert in firearms and mixed martial arts - and someone who’s about to give Stephanie a real run for her money.

Stephanie may be in over her head, but she’s got two things that Gabriela doesn’t: an unbreakable bond with her family and a stubborn streak that will never let her quit.

She’ll need both to survive because this search for “fortune and glory” will turn into a desperate race against time with more on the line than ever before. Because even as she searches for the treasure and fights to protect her Grandma Mazur, her own deepest feelings will be tested - as Stephanie could finally be forced to choose between Joe Morelli and Ranger.

another great Stephanie novel!

Another great Stephanie novel. Grandma, Joe, Ranger, an FTA, and a new character. Another car may or may not be lost to fire.

Loved the performance

The narrator was terrific. I wasn't sure at first, as I read the first 26 Stephanie plum novels on hard cover and had my own voices in my head. But I quickly forgot about that and really enjoyed

Never disappoints

Loved this book, all my favorite characters come to life, I suddenly am a part of the mayham. Also look forward to that voice in my ear telling the story, daring me to get involved.

Good story, tired of the Morelli story line

As usual, great add to the series, but after 27 books, the Morelli on/off story line is EXHAUSTED.

Nicely Done! ✔

I love this series! Can't wait for the next one. Why can't Stephanie just admit she's Polyamourous and have both Joe AND Ranger? Guilt free if everyone is in agreement.

I'm worried all the excitement is going to cause Gradma Mazer to suffer a heart attack one of these days. But I guess we know she's made of sterner stuff! Same with Stephanies' Mom.

And I wish they would make more movies of the series. Mind you, they'll be hard pressed to find a replacement as good as Debbie Reynolds to play Grandma Maker.

I was a little surprised that cousin Vincent didn't make even a cameo appearance in this novel...

New character

Although I enjoyed the new character Gabrielle I found in this book as in the last few the rehashing of old material. I appreciate common threads but the reuse of the taxidermist thread and others is all too familiar.
Just my take on it - but was disappointed in storyline.
