Binge listen the best-selling Four Kings Security series in one set!

Love in Spades

Ex-Special Forces soldier Anston “Ace” Sharpe is fighting a different battle these days—one involving the world of private security across the state of Florida. As part owner of Four Kings Security, Ace and his fellow Kings tackle everything from cyber intelligence to executive protection. Cocky, fearless, and brash, Ace isn’t afraid to take risks.

Sparks fly the moment Ace meets Colton Connolly, but getting involved with a client, even one as fiery and beautiful as Colton, is a line Ace is unwilling to cross. As the Florida nights heat up, so does their passion, and Ace and Colton are faced with a difficult choice—take the plunge and risk it all, or play it safe and walk away?

Be Still My Heart

Former Special Forces medical sergeant Russell “Red” McKinley knows a thing or two about wounds, like the fact some can take a lifetime to heal, if they heal at all. The scars Red carries run deep, and living with PTSD often means battling the memories of his past. Injuries he received while working an executive protection case with fellow Kings and co-owners of Four Kings Security, have once again forced past heartaches to the surface, but Red is determined not to let it derail his blossoming romance with sweet and beautiful fashion photographer Lazarus Galanos.

When an attempt is made on Laz’s life, Red is determined to keep him safe. Can Red and Laz find a way to help each other heal and take a chance on love, or will their fears and insecurities cost them more than their future together?

Eduardo “Lucky” Morales is a fighter, from his childhood days in Cuba to his time as a Special Forces Green Beret. Scarred by the wars of his past, Lucky has learned nothing lasts forever. Guarding his heart is second nature, and getting emotionally involved is not an option. As co-owner of Four Kings Security, Lucky works hard alongside his former brothers-in-arms and fellow Kings, but he also plays hard. Flirting with sexy Texas cowboy and detective, Mason Cooper, is too much fun to resist, until Mason turns the tables on him.

Determined to keep Mason at arms’ length, Lucky is surprised to find the man at Four Kings Security. The Florida nights might be getting cooler, but the heat between Lucky and Mason burns hotter with every passing moment. Working private security can be dangerous and unpredictable, but so can falling in love.

Diamond in the Rough

For Ward “King” Kingston the role of protector, forged by fire and tragedy, is one he takes seriously. When King is asked to safeguard the son of a four-star general and friend, he is pulled back into the world of government black ops on a mission that raises painful memories from his past. The moment King meets Leo, amid the chaos of a lockdown at a secret black site, it’s clear he’s never faced a challenge like this—one that will test his unwavering sense of control.

King and Leo couldn’t be more different, yet as they navigate the dangers of a secret multi-agency operation and face unknown threats, their differences could be what saves them. Neither man believes a happily ever after is in the cards, but their hearts might just prove them wrong…if they can survive a deadly betrayal.

Hours of action-filled romance, humour, and found family

This was an action-packed collection that gave me hours (and hours) of listening enjoyment. I appreciated the stellar narration and the chance to get to know all the Kings and see them meet their matches. :)

Love in Spades
3.5/5 Ace and Colton spark a lot in this, but I liked the moments when they were actually able to connect (and not just in bed, lol). We get a lot of the forced proximity trope, which I enjoy, and it’s fun to start to get to know all of the Kings. I like how Colton came at it differently than his father but was very devoted to the company. Despite how much they disagreed during this book, it was clear how much they cared about one another.

I think Ace made some poor decisions here, but that’s also very Ace, lol, so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. We get high drama at the end, with a bad guy I wasn’t suspecting. I liked the resolution.

Be Still My Heart
3.75/5 I wanted Red and Laz to get together from their first scene together in book 1, and it was fun to see how it actually happened in this book. I was not expecting so wild a danger to Laz, but it was nice to see Red step up even though he wasn’t officially on duty. I enjoyed all the time they got to spend together and how Red supported everything that Laz did (especially after Brian the jerk, ugh). I liked getting to see more of Laz’s job.

I thought the big misunderstanding did a pretty good job of skirting the line of too much. Given the issues both of them have and the newness of their relationship, it made sense that there were some growing pains, even if I just wanted them to communicate better. I’m very glad they got there eventually.

I liked how we got to see more of Mason as he worked the crime, and I look forward to the next book to see if Lucky and Mason can ever figure things out.

4/5 I was glad to see Mason and Lucky get their story after the sparks in the previous books. I thought they worked together really well, and I enjoyed seeing them collaborate not just annoy one another (lol). It was nice to get more backstory on both of them and see them figure out how to be in a relationship when neither of them was very good at that. I guessed one of the plot twists but then was pleasantly surprised by the outcome. Looking forward to seeing King’s HEA!

Diamond in the Rough
4.25/5 It was so awesome to really get to know King and see him get his HEA. And I loved Leo. He was quirky and atypical and nerdy and awesome. I liked how the two of them were together, how Leo brought a lot of brightness and support to King’s life, and how King protected Leo but totally saw him for the smart, awesome, often able to protect himself person that he was.

I loved Leo’s love of fish-shaped snacks, King insisting that Leo be treated with respect, Leo’s “disappearing” ability (lol), and how much Leo fit in with the Kings. Leo and King are both fierce in their own way, and it was fun to see what they could accomplish together.

Loved this series!!!!!

Greg Boudreaux did an awesome job as narrator for these four books. He didn’t just narrate, he brought these stories to life!

This is a fantastic series all books 1 -4, oh my! Romance, action and humour!!

I’ve read or listened to a ton of series and very few can carry an intriguing story from book to book where you want to continue listening or reading, where each story feels unique in itself but you’re still wanting to continue and not skip through any part of the book. I found so many action/romance series where after two books I am disappointed by book 3 or by the second book I’m wondering if it’s the same author and drop the series or force my way through in the hopes the next book is better. So far, however my interest has been kept for every single book in this series.

These books bring actual action, like the author was watching an action movie and writing down things as they went along, in that way the action doesn’t feel as forced. Romance is romance, it’s either good, cheesy, only lust, or bad. In this series, it was good. Especially since in the books, trust and communication in each romance was stressed. on top of all of that, the books are seriously funny. Like stupidly funny. I will admit that though book one started funny, for a hot second I was wondering if Colton‘s character would be unlikeable and bring the story down, but that thought quickly disappeared and all the characters were likeable.

The action didn’t disappoint. Have you read books where you’re reading and drawing close to that point in the book where the big reveal happens or the big action scene and it turns out to be one punch and one slap in the face and the entire thing is all over and you’re so very disappointed? this was not the case in these books and I was so thankful for that. In book one and book four I didn’t even guess who the bad guy was but I watched enough “Snapped“ the series, that I quickly guessed who the bad person in book 3 was. Book 4, I thought I knew who it was twice, but figured it out before it was revealed.

One thing I liked about these books is that even though there isn’t one threat or storyline that runs the entire series, the books start as if continued from the book before, just with a different couple and that was refreshing. Typically, that doesn’t happen unless there’s a common threat running throughout the series. I was pleasantly surprised and pleased that the epilogue in each of these books weren’t like so many other series where the epilogue consists of the couple getting engaged and married and talking about, or having kids and claiming forever.

Spend the credit and listen to the books on Audible, you won’t regret it.
