Publisher's Summary

Since the moment Imani Prince joined the Grand High Vampires' legion, she's been drawn to the self-assured and darkly sexual Robert "Butch" Richardson. Although he walked away from her a year ago after a short fling, she doesn't judge him for his difficulties with relationships. But now he's in her space, declaring that he wants her back and regrets his earlier mistakes.

While Imani's past is trying to interfere with the present, and the threat of a war is looming, she has to decide whether to give him what he's demanding: all she has to give. Butch has always struggled to connect with people, but something about the sensual and independent Imani pulls at him until she's become an obsession that he simply can't shake.

But she was with another male, and watching them together was agonizing. When that relationship ends, Butch makes his move. Now he has to convince her to take a second chance on him, and he won't leave her alone until she does. As far as he's concerned, Imani's his, and has always been his. He just needs to make her see that.

its just a good time

it's a good time honestly I think this is the best bittersweet relationship with a sire they've ever done it was a really good time I like this story a lot and I like the elements that we're place I like the resentment for being forcibly turned and ways of that is being addressed I like the involvement of more shifter worlds and the expansion on how they function this was a really good time

as usual I would highly recommend

This was my least favourite of the books

The book wasn’t horrible but I was bored on and off throughout the entire book, I just couldn’t really connect with with the characters. Her girlfriends not having her back and the high school like cattiness is annoying. Then I was so excited to finally meet the dragons but again you only get a glimpse and it’s leaves you wanting more.
I think I’m just mentally done with this series.
It’s good but not great and now I’m really ready to move on!

This book was my least favorite so far

The first 4 books so far were good. This 5th book was boring that I had to skip along. I usually like second chance romances but the couple seem flat and so was their story. You know it’s not all that great when you hope the heroine end up with the bad guy who created her. She had more chemistry with him. The hero and heroine they just didn’t connect as a couple. They almost seem forced. I also didn’t like how the hero mentioned how he missed the heroine during their year apart but that didn’t stop him from sticking his thing all over the place. That was gross so he just didn’t do it for me. I got annoyed every time he called her baby. She just took him back way to fast. He didn’t have to work for it. Less swearing would make the book more enjoyable for me as well.
