About this listen
From the Rez to the Mountaintop: Becoming Who We're Meant to Be is the hopeful journey of an Indigenous woman on her path to healing, self-love and self-mastery. Told in three parts: love, work, and grow, this narrative nonfiction story provides listeners the space to consider their own story and capacity to pursue self-mastery and become the person they were meant to be.
McLean believes reconciliation is as much a personal journey as it is a societal one. Through the telling of personal story and lessons picked up along the way, author Erica McLean believes through love, work and the pursuit of growth, we can change our worlds. We can reach the peak of our own mountains.

Captivating, Brilliant and PACKED with Inspiration
If you’re looking for a book to remind you what resilience, gratitude and life’s purpose looks like, this is for you. Perfectly articulated audiobook too (read by the author, which is always so much more enjoyable).

Erica’s grit and determination to live on, move forward and tell her story❤️
I am one of Erica’s elementary teachers from Hazelton. I am so proud of Erica having the courage to write her remarkable story. As a teacher, I always pray and hope my students reach goals they set in their lives as well as be happy and safe. The part that stood out to me in the book was when Erica finally realized that her life was not going to move forward in a good way without a big change and commitment to it. She realized that her priority was not only herself but her son. She faced many bumps and detours along the way, eventually getting to where she needed to be in life.
