About this listen
From Wall Street Journal and USA Today best-selling author Devney Perry comes a second-chance small-town romance.
Talia Eden loved Foster Madden for one year, two months, and eleven days. It was on day 438 that her love died. The day he chose to marry her best friend. The day she vowed never to think of Foster again.
Until years later, when he has the audacity to show up in her small hometown of Quincy, begging for her help.
The ink on his divorce papers is barely dry, yet he comes armed with apologies and promises. She knows it’s all a ploy. Foster is the king of games and secrets. But he’s got delusions the size of Montana if he thinks she’ll help him train for a world championship fight.
Except Talia has forgotten exactly what made Foster famous. The man has dedicated his life to victory. He’s steadfast. He’s determined. And he won’t stop fighting until he’s won her heart.

Second Chance Love
Talia and Foster....I know we got a glimpse into a past relationship in Juniper Hill but nothing could have prepared me for this.
Foster is determined to win Talia back, he had to make a choice years ago and ultimately it destroyed him but he's tried to make the most of the circumstances...he just needs Talia to give him a shot.
Talia wants nothing to do with Foster...he destroyed her years ago and she isn't interested in a repeat. But now he is in her town...trying to sneak his way or better yet barge into her life again. But she is older and wiser....but her darn heart and body haven't gotten the message.
Their connection is still electric and no matter what Talia does she can't stay away from him.
Devney has this unbelievable ability to convey the characters emotions...you truly feel all of it...my heart broke for Foster and Talia has they tried to navigate this new dynamic with each other. But at the same time you are angry, happy, confused, etc. And Connor and Cindy conveyed everything so perfectly.
The Edens have such a special place in my heart.

I am a big fan of this Author but really hate this
🧡SPOILERS in the review 🧡
I am a big fan of this author but really did not like this story. The heat level was lukewarm due to the lame relationship with OW. The H prioritized the OW and didn't communicate with the h for 7 years. Ummmmm no.
H ⭐️ what a tool
h ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ love Talia.
🎧 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ loved the narration by Cindy Kay and Connor Crais
Spoilers ahead: why I feel slightly nauseous and wildly ragey 🤬

I usually hate a second chance romance but trusted that Devney Perry would make it seem reasonable. I was wrong.
7 years of BS. The H and OW reasoning/rationale was totally ridiculous. Feeling gross and icky about the family move into Talia's town... 🤬What kind of presumptuous fresh hell is this? First they make decisions (without giving her the courtesy of explanation ) that mess up her life for 7 years and then just up and move to her small town because you decide it's time to get back together not even knowing if she's in a relationship... so much of this is completely selfish and ignorant.
So much of this doesn't make sense.
