À propos de cet audio
Experience the places you visit more intensely than you would otherwise - sometimes best done on foot, in a canoe, or through art courses, cooking classes, learning the language, meeting the people, joining in the festivals. This can make your trip unforgettable. All of the detailed information you need is here about the hotels, restaurants, shopping, sightseeing. We also lead you to new discoveries, helping you to interact with the world in new ways. The author is a resident of Munich so he knows his subject well.
The Romantische Straße (Romantic Road) is the most popular of Germany's roughly 150 vacation routes. It connects several romantic sights along a 210-mile route from Wurzburg on the Main to Fussen at the foot of the Alps. En route, it passes romantic towns, hamlets, castles, and churches. Rothenburg ob der Tauber and Schloss Neuschwanstein are the two most popular sights on the route. The Bavarian Alps are astonishingly beautiful. The Alps suddenly rise out of green meadows, making any approach from Munich or the north spectacular. The mountains are easily reached from Munich by road or rail and are popular for day-trips. In addition to the mountains, the area teams with history, interesting buildings, lakes, rivers, and countless hiking and cycling opportunities. Many ski resorts are popular with families. Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Oberammergau, Berchtesgaden, Chiemsee, Konigssee - these are just a few of the unforgettable places to visit here.
