About this listen
Producing an immersive audiobook experience (with narration, actors, music, and sound effects), Seth Andrews has drawn upon his decades-long experience as a broadcaster and storyteller to conjure an eerie otherworld of ghosts, spirits, devils, and supernatural beasts. A mix of original tales and popular urban legends, these 14 freestanding chapters favor ghouls over gore, providing easily digestible vignettes of supernatural fiction, ghostly lore, and creepy fun for anyone who has ever enjoyed a scary film, haunted house, or Halloween campfire story.

A Great Listen From an Excellent Storyteller
Warmly descriptive yet chillingly executed tales from a man who understands the art of storytelling. Seth has produced an audio experience that amplifies the depth of the stories he tells without distracting from them. The variety of themes and varying story structure keeps each chapter feeling fresh and enticing. As the book concluded, I felt a pang of sadness that I had varaciously consumed it in but a few days. Can't wait to return to it in a couple months, perhaps on a camping trip or on a late night stroll.

The Best Kind of Horror Stories
Turn off all the lights and listen to Seth's oddly soothing voice narrate a series of spooky tales. Makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. Excellent readings, and excellent voice acting added in by others. Perfect for the spooky season that is fast approaching.
Worth every penny.

Hauntingly good
Great audio book, an awesome listen. The stories are really good with great sound effects. Great audio book for around a campfire or a dim quiet candle lit room. Seth Andrews has an awesome story telling voice. A perfect book for the Halloween season.

Very entertaining and creepy
I expected to fall asleep to Seth's golden voice. However, I found myself creeped out by the stories to fall asleep too.. equally a good thing!

Listened to it twice and loved it both times!
Seth, as always, masterfully wrote and told stories that brought us on a journey to macabre and creepy worlds. I listened to it twice to get all the details and liked it even better the second time. If you like ghost and other horror stories, you won't be disappointed.

Lacks suspense.
I found this a bit too matter of fact for my taste. Not summer camp fire worthy!

Ouch... it's bad.
I listened to the 1st chapter. The writing was stiff and the story was derivative. The narrator was reading as though they were teaching a moral story to a young child. Yikes.
