Clever and funny… like the author!
I bought this audiobook because I started to watch some videos of Steve Hofstetter and he talked about it sometimes. I really like his kind of comedy so I gave it a try…
I was sad when it was over! This audiobook is full of anecdote from his life and it made me smile on my long drives! It is well written and well delivered by the author.

True to author: witty, funny, smart, captivating
It is clear Steve poured his essence into this book. You feel the same attention-grabing wittiness and smarts that he shows on stage, but you get to see even more of the talent he has for story telling. He has this way of speaking that is so captivating, anyone else would lose my attention.
The chapters are written in chronological order, so it's easy to follow. It was easy to invest myself in the story. It felt like watching a movie and rooting for the main character. Having Steve voice this made the experience even more immersive. He's a phenomenal writer but also an excellent speaker. His passion for writing is obvious and it enhanced the text through his writing.
I loved how I was still laughing all the time when listening. It proves the laughs at his shows aren't influenced by crowd effects (laughing because the person next to you is laughing), they're genuine laughs.
Overall, this has become my favourite book. I never rewatch/reread/relisten to content, but I know I will definitely read the physical copy at some point. A signed one, because I got a VIP ticket to see him this month!

Inspired
Beautifully written, lighthearted. The authors telling of his tale was truly inspiring. Every young adult should read this. It reads as a journal of sorts, and pulls you into his struggle, failures and triumphs. Thank you to the author for sharing this tale.

Am Uplifting and Enjoyable Listen
Brilliant comic Steve Hofstadter takes listeners down memory lane as he recounts his transformation from shy and bullied freshman to confident adult. Very well written and wonderful to hear it in his own voice, the journey is entertaining and inspiring. I highly recommend it!

A Thoroughly Enjoyable and Uplifting Read
I had never heard of Steve Hofstetter prior to buying this book. It was on sale and it piqued my interest. I was not disappointed. Steve’s teenage life is both entertaining and interesting. The first half of the book had me laughing out loud. While I laughed much less in the second half, I was still enjoying the listen. One complaint, I wish he talked about making out a little less. Otherwise, it was perfect.
What Steve managed to accomplish in his teenager years is inspiring. I hope to one day share his life story with my kids when they are teenagers.
Steve’s comedic timing was great, he was an excellent choice for narrator.
