comic book fantasy -- I didn't finish
I chose this book for the promise of sex and sexual violence. But I found myself in a graphic novel too unrealistic for me to suspend my disbelief. Listening to the two-dimensional sex scenes and realizing I prefer my own fantasies, I turned it off at chapter six. I understand its popularity, though.

Rough Mob story with questionable sex
Thus book wasn't exactly my favorite. The narration was excellent. If you don't like non-conventional or borderline consensual sex, this may not be the book for you

Emotional rollercoaster. Extremely mature 18+ only
Look, this storyline is not for everyone. There is violence, sexual assault, rape, torture, murder..... but the overall storyline is a woman who is broken and whether or not the mob boss can fix her.... I feel like, of course there's going to be risque and potentially controversial scenes going on- it happens.
The narrators did an AMAZING job. With just their voices they were able to change the mood in an instant and characters were very clear. You can feel the emotions, pain, relief... beautifully narrated.
It is an emotional storyline, so be warned that if you have gone through things yourself or are currently not in a clear state of mind this book is not for you, but if you are open to the fictional exploration of how some relationships may come to be, then have a listen.
Like I said, is this book for everyone? NO definitely only for mature adults who truly understand consensual relationships. Is it a clear, easy to follow, complete storyline? YES.
