About this listen
A New York Times Best Seller
“My life was a complete mess, and God bless all of it. Because it’s in the messes where we learn the most - as long as we slow down enough to realize what God is trying to show us.”
Suddenly in the spotlight, 24-year-old Hannah Brown realized that she wasn’t sure what she wanted. After years of competing in beauty pageants, and then starring on The Bachelorette and Dancing with the Stars, she had become incredibly visible. There she was, in her early 20s, with millions around the world examining and weighing in on her every decision. She found herself wondering what it would mean to live on her terms. What it would mean to stop seeking approval from others and decide - for the first time - what it was she wanted from her own life.
An honest and earnest examination of her own mid-20s, God Bless This Mess is a memoir that doesn’t claim to have all the answers. Hannah knows she doesn’t have all the answers. What she does have is the insight of someone who has spent critical years of her youth under public scrutiny. Thus what emerges is a quarter-life memoir that speaks to the set of difficulties young women face, and how to move through them with grace. By pushing against her engrained need to seek approval, and learning how to think critically about her own goals and desires, Hannah inspires others to do the same - and to embrace the messiness that comes hand-in-hand with self-discovery (even it that sometimes means falling flat on your face).
Using her time on The Bachelorette as a launching pad, Hannah doesn’t shy away from the most painful experiences of her life: moments when her faith was tested, when she feared it was lost, and the moments when she reclaimed it on national television. “And Jesus still loves me.” Fans will be inspired by the never-before-told stories: the ones about facing depression and anxiety during her pageant years, the ways in which therapy and journaling have proven to be a saving grace, and the previously private moments - both at home and on television - that have shaped the star’s outlook.
Honest and emotionally urgent, God Bless This Mess is a reminder that true growth doesn’t come without strife - and it’s through those dark, messy moments that self-acceptance and love can bloom.

Real stories that will make you think
This was a really great read, or listen! I’m a bachelor nation fan and I always really enjoyed watching Hannah. I always felt like I could relate to her!
She is so brave for sharing her story, I applaud her for that. Reading this will truly make you think, and it will remind you that everyone has their own struggles, and to be patient and give others a chance because you never know what someone is going through. Great book!

great listen
I've always loved Hannah all throughout her journey on the bachelor and beyond. it was great to learn more about her childhood and past relationships to get to understand better her journey. it's Hannah's flaws and insecurities that make her so relatable and her heart that makes her so lovable.

A lot of us knew the puzzle
But, Hannah's memoir put the thing together for us. She's a very authentic woman who lives with integrity and if she strays outside for a minute she learns her lessons quickly and well. Hannah, you do have something big you and your higher self planned when you decided to become earthbound and any bumps you've encountered so far are showing you the way to that path. God bless you and your big plan.

Love Hannah!
This is my first review on audible! I loved this book so much. Hannah packed so much into it and I enjoyed listening to everthing that she has gone through. There’s so much more than I had expected. I was a fan of hers before but now I’m even a bigger fan!

Absolutely loved this memoir as someone listening that is 26. I'm not Christian but the religion didn't bother me. Highly recommend if you're a girl in your 20s feeling lost.

Absolutely incredible 👏
Hannah's vulnerability and rawness in this book was so touching and moving. It made me laugh it made me cry but most of all it made me reflect ♡ Every Christian woman can at some point relate to at least one of the stages of her walk with Christ and the obstacles of dating in these modern times. A great start for anyone looking to start their own journey in healing and overcoming

Uplifting and hopeful
I listened to this audiobook I swear in record time. I couldn’t put it down. Listening to it as soon as I woke up, getting ready for work, walking to work, driving in my car, taking a bath. It was so uplifting and gave you hope and inner strength to hang on to God especially through those darker days. This is definitely the best audiobook I have ever listened to, highly recommend to any adult who has been through “stuff”.

Loved it!
I loved Hannah from her time on the Bachelor and Bachelorette, but this audiobook gave me a whole new appreciation for her! Her story, strength, and honesty were all extremely eye-opening. Once I started listening, I struggled to stop it! My drives to and from work didn't feel so long, while listening to Hannah share her life with me.
