confusing and ended abruptly

I have listened to a few books by this author and loved them except she leaves the endings up in the air. This book ended so suddenly that I thought I misheard. The story had so many characters and story lines it was hard to follow and I was still trying to sort it out when the book was over without a single story line coming to a conclusion.
