About this listen

"Find me in another life. Find me in them all."

Every end is also a beginning.

I thought I was going to die, and would have if it weren't for Slade. The only way he could save me was to open a rip between worlds. The only way for me to save myself was to go through it.

Sometimes, fleeing one dangerous place just brings you to another.

Annwyn. The realm of the fae. There is magic and beauty here, though, around every corner, threats lurk.

But I'm a threat too. I'm not a girl in a gilded cage anymore, and no one is going to stop me from finding my way back to Slade.

But returning home means facing danger and secrets. So I have to burn bright enough to light my own way…Or else I might be swallowed by the dark.

The BookTok hit adult fantasy series continues in book five of this epic story inspired by the myth of King Midas, fae, and fated romance. Intended for mature listeners.

Newly recorded in duet-style narration by Lilly Drake and Anthony Palmini.

Issues with Narration/Filler book

The series could have wrapped up in 3-4 books total. This book felt like mostly filler. There were some plot points that I enjoyed, but it felt like one long cliffhanger.

There were some issues with narration as well. Like multiple variations of the pronunciation of several words, which left me confused at times. I generally enjoy Anthony Palmini and Lily Drake, but changing the way words are pronounced mid-story just annoys me.

Similar issues with the other books. Far too many analogies/flowery descriptions - that I found took away from the plot. I love drama but tone it down and let the story speak for itself.

I’m going to listen to book six so I can find out what happens but I’m not sure I’d reach for another RK book in the future.

Best book of series

Oh my, arguably the best book of the series so far. The plot is twisting and the energy is rising. Characters are evolving and hearts are aching. Holding on tight for the final book.

The amazing narration brings such vivid life to this story

I am not okay, I loved loved loved this. This is quickly becoming one of my favourite series. The narrators did a fantastic job, to say the least. The story line turns and twists and it all comes together to make sense.

No, just no.

I don’t get it. What happened after the first 3 books?
They were good. Then, it is so boring. No steam. No character developments. No story. The main female character does nothing, nothing. I’m done. I have suffer through book 4. I will not finish this one.
