Ok but ooooh soooo sloooow (potential “spoilers”)
I still get a hallmark tv series vibe from this, except all the slow build up just doesn’t happen or bring any of the expected consequences that would come from all the attention it gets. All the build ups from the evil soon-to-be-husband from book one just disappeared. 4 books and still no divorce? 3 books with no mentions of the big bad wolf from book 1? Come on… everyone is showing up but him and he took so much space that it would’ve been expected.
And it’s similar with all of the other potential drama..a lot of time spent building to something that will be fixed just like by magic.
And there are other little things that bug me, like the 9-10yo behaving like a 5-6 one..and the narrators.
There’s 6 of them now. That’s a lot. And not all of them are good. I can never tell who’s talking during a Lily/Georgia conversation when Lili is narrating. If each main characters gets a narrator, why not do it like an audio play and have all of them speak all of their texts?
It’s free and I’m bored, so on to the next one.
