About this listen

Come for an emotional ride in this stand-alone romance by New York Times best-selling author J. Sterling. With Sterling’s laugh-out-loud banter and a trio of brothers you’ll fall for, this realistic story is a must-listen.

I’ve seen Frank Fisher before, but he’s never seen me. He definitely saw me tonight. And I know I wasn’t the only one who felt the world shift the moment our eyes connected from across the bar.

But Frank isn’t like his brothers. He’s quiet, elusive, and keeps to himself. It makes him mysterious, but that’s not why I’m drawn to him. It’s something else. Something I’ve never experienced before, as cliche as that may sound.

I want to be around him. Get to know him better. Explore what’s growing between us, but Frank keeps holding back and I have no idea why. Good thing I’m a persistent woman who doesn’t scare off easily.

Right?

I guess we’ll see.

The Fisher Brothers is a series of stand-alone novels that can be sipped one at a time, or binged in order. Each book is named after one of the drinks at their popular bar!

Second Installment = 2nd Place

I'm unsure how I feel about Frank. While his attraction to Claudia feels true, the "duty" he is keeping alive is disappointing....especially when you consider his age. I'd like to think he would know better than that. Regardless, it's a solid entry but I do hope the third book will be better.

Frank such a sweetheart.

This second book of the Fisher Brothers was good.

You knew in the first book, Frank had a relationship with a woman, but who was she?

She was a girl from his past, and should have probably stayed there. I’ve been there done that.
But Frank is an Enigma….A respectful gentleman. A unicorn.

He was drawn between:
The right thing or the wrong to do,
To be happy or just live unhappily to keep another happy.

A beautiful Colombian woman turned his life upside down in a good way.

Tim Paige was a good narrator.
Reagan West was just ok. Not terrible, she started to grow on me.

Couldn't relate to male lead

Just couldn't relate to the male lead at all. Skipped a bunch of chapters at the end since I didn't care for the sex scenses either.

Hostely just finished it to leave a review. Because I so strongly disliked the male lead.

Misogyny is strong with this one

Frank is an asshole with no guts. He makes me so angry I stopped halfway through. Don't romanticize these types of stories.

Not the best.

I'm usually a big fan of Sterling writing.. I have read/ listened to many of her book, and enjoyed all of them.. But this series of books are not her best.. The 1st book was just OK. The 2nd book was hard to get through. and I still have to listen to the third, but I don't have high hopes.. not her best work.

Wish I Could Say Better Things

I really wanted to say that I loved this book. But I didn’t. :( Narration was great, and the story it’s self has great potential, but, for me it was lacking. That being said. I’ve already downloaded the next book in the series. Im committed to the series now.

Not my favorite

Brittany is the worst friend, giving the worst advice and Claudia needs a less desperate friend. Claudia, a woman who appears to have high standards, but really she is just desperate, needy and easy, and extremely annoying thinking she deserves anything. Continuing to pursue a man she has no business continuing to go after, she's just as gross as Frank. Frank is a spineless and gross cheater.

Not my favorite of the series. Somewhat a pathetic story.

Narrators were just ok. Reagan reads very valley girl like, she speaks like Jennifer Coolidge in Cinderella Story, cringe. Tim reads somewhat emotionless.
