Ken Honda
About this listen
Become Zen with your money and alleviate your anxieties about finances and earning potential. Ken Honda - Japan’s number-one best-selling personal-development guru - will help you heal your relationship with money and discover the lifestyle that will truly make you happy.
Ken Honda knows that getting rich quick is no way to achieve happiness. Too often, money is a source of fear, stress, and anger, often breaking apart relationships and even ruining lives. Now, with practical and accessible language, the Zen Millionaire (as he is known in Japan) clearly explains how to achieve a peace of mind when it comes to money and how to decide which path you should take toward happiness.
Learn how to change your relationship with money by treating it as a welcome guest - allowing it to come and go with respect without questioning its motives or resenting its fluctuations. Understand and improve your Money EQ, look behind the myth of scarcity, and embrace the process of giving money along with receiving it.
What Marie Kondo’s The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up did for your living space, Honda’s Happy Money will do for your feelings about your wallet.

Story
A few weeks after the failure of her business in London, Sarah was asked a question in a book she was reading. “What does money want to say to you?” She started writing a response and found words coming out of her pen that weren’t her own. They started with, “I would like to tell you to love me.” She was deeply touched, and intrigued to explore more about the source of this message. She went on to write in the same way every day for three months and ended up with a collection of surprising, funny and inspiring advice, apparently from the energy of money itself.

Story
"I can't afford that." "Now's not the right time.... I need to save up." "Quit my job? Are you nuts?!" Sound familiar? Money is one of the biggest excuses we make to not go after what we really want. Our fixation with money - the desire for more of it, and the fear of not having enough of it - is often really just a longing to feel safe. But this obsession with money is coming at a much bigger cost: our sanity, our creativity, our freedom, and our ability to step into our true power.

Story
Your Soul's Plan (which was originally published under the title Courageous Souls: Do We Plan Our Life Challenges Before Birth?) explores the premise that we are all eternal souls who plan our lives, including our greatest challenges, before we are born for the purpose of spiritual growth. Through compelling profiles of people who knowingly planned the experiences mentioned above, Your Soul's Plan shows that suffering is not purposeless, but rather imbued with deep meaning.

Best book in quarantine
I was feeling demotivated and my money fears were kicking in. I was overspending and couldn't invest in myself and felt so bad about money. A little voice inside me asked me to pick up Happy Money and listen to it while I got groceries. I had never felt so happy buying groceries in my life. I'm ready to fill my cup and bring in more money into my life. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Be Grateful
book is 21st century idea on how to express gratefulness.
narration and content is good with lots of real life examples.
I recommend it and it should be a suggested reading to all CFO's and CEO's.
you'll know all the concepts but it serves as a reminder to give and be grateful for the life you have.

Very good, but a little slow/repetitive
While I found the book to be a little slow (my mind would wander at points), overall I would still definitely recommend it. It’ll change your perspective about what’s truly important and how to be really rich in life and in money! Everyone should read this.
