About this listen
Vivian's a pretty mild-mannered person.
Even with a busload of hyperactive fourth graders going to a baseball signing, she's patient and kind.
Even when she meets Dash Wallace…major league legend and star of her hottest daydreams…she keeps her cool.
Kind of.
Mostly.
It was fine.
Then his glove is missing and he accuses one of those fourth graders of being a thief.
You do not come after one of Vivian's kids. She will defend them to the death….
Dash suddenly finds himself with an apology on his lips and an unexplainable attraction to a woman who's just not his type.
But he keeps his cool.
Kind of.
Mostly.
It's fine until the regular season, when he's going to travel with the team.
He has rituals. Processes. Routines.
You could even call them superstitions.
They involve having a woman in every city he plays, and Vivian's going to have to be fine with that, or he's going to be just fine leaving her.
Kind of.
Mostly.
Not fine.
Vivian lays down the law, and Dash has to decide between her and winning.

Hardball is a Home Run!
Story, pace and kinky sexiness of this one kept me wanting more…Much More! The only criticism I have is with Jeremy York. His narration was too slow and not too exciting. Jo, on the other hand, was funny, passionate and spot on!!! Luv CD Reiss! What a great writer! Will look for many more of her works in the future!

Shakespeare and Baseball...Swoonalicious
Aaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!! In the last two months two of my favorite book boyfriends of all time have come to life on audiobooks; I am one happy, happy girl. Dash, the Shakespeare- spouting -sexual dominant- ADD suffering- superstitious short stop for the Dodgers is one of those men. In the ebook Dash and Vivian, eccentric- grade school librarian -with a deeply scarred heart of gold, have the kind of chemistry that has you tearing through the pages to get to their HEA. The performances here are terrific, especially Ms Raylan whose delivery of Vivian's eccentric rapid fire internal dialog, which deserves an award for its entertainment value. I've already repeated Chapter 30, a perfect train wreck of an emotional angsty crisis for the book, five times. In ebook format this is that chapter I've turned to when I needed a good cry. So, I guess I can now turn to this wonderful performance for much needed emotional catharsis! I can not recommend this audiobook highly enough!
