About this listen

For all that Jason knows, life is amazing. But he's about to learn that all his new power, wealth, and influence comes at a price.

Riding high on success, he and his team are looking to the future, preparing themselves for the challenges to come. Nothing, however, could have prepared him for the lessons his enemies have to teach. When magic is involved, the stakes can be even greater than life and death.

While Jason’s personal enemies make plans, the greater foes plaguing his new home have been pushed to the brink. With one powerful card left to play, they are on a collision course with Jason and his team. With no one to help and more than their lives on the line, Jason and his companions must fight with more monsters than ever in the race to grow stronger. With an invincible enemy already anticipating them, they will learn that sometimes winning the battle is more important than surviving it.

Best of the series yet

Book 3 occurred after all the "training" are done and was finally revealing the adventuring that was foreshadowed in the previous books. The world it opens up is truly incredible.

very good

very good as the other books.
I felt that there might have been too many times with power descriptions. Toward the end the same power was described twice in like 15min.

I felt the end anti climactic. I wished Jason used a certain power more, especially at the end.

Overall the story of this book felt tinner but still liked it a lot. Will get book 4 when it releases.

why do you do this to me?

couldn't have ended any better, but now I have to wait.. also, great job Heath, as always. To the people complaining about the skill/item description: You realize this is a book right? Like ink on paper being read aloud.. these descriptions make sense as a book, you can just skip over the parts you have memorized. Heath's job is to read exactly what's written and Travis's job is to make sure things are explained as clearly as possible. I like the read outs even if they do get a little long sometimes. I see it like 5-6 characters with 20 abilities each, sometimes it's easy to forget what does what, especially when you add in all the gear they have and what their familiars can do.

loved it!

this entry in the story does a really good job of taking strings left from the first and second entry tiering them together and adding more. I really hope we get the 4th audio book Soon after it's release this December, and audio form is my favorite way to enjoy it. Heath Miller does an amazing job keeping characters in their own personality, and shirtaloon thanks for letting us enjoy your world. you make a good brain baby.

epic saga

What a roller-coaster of a story. I loved the first half of this book.
Followed by a detailed set up for the next book.
I wish I could get an Autograph or something for this series. It is awesome.

An Epic Epilogue!

Been enjoying this story, though one thing I find very annoying is the ability descriptions, and how repetitive they are! Like describe it once and cut out all the repeats and I’ll bet that’ll shorten the book by several hours…
Otherwise I enjoy the characters and the story, and am about to start the next book!
Also that was the longest epilogue ever! Just had to point that out… wonder if they qualify for Guinness book of world records with that epilogue!

Great series but boring 3rd book

I very much enjoyed the first 2 books of the series and though I did enjoy the third book, it was very slow and boring compared. The fights were drawn out and skills explained repeatedly, making it tiring and long.
