Afterwards, he went back to his small-town life, and I marched home to inform my dad there would be no business-centric nuptials. As punishment, he shipped me off to Sisters, Oregon and demanded I turn a healthy profit on a not-so-healthy property.

You see where I’m going with this—the buttoned-up city girl stuck in a small town hires a local builder to help her … and he’s the hot stranger from the elevator. Turns out, I have a weakness for the broad-shouldered nice guy who’s not so nice behind closed doors. Keeping things professional gets harder the longer I’m in town, until the only lesson I have left to learn is how to keep both our hearts from getting broken.

Such a touching listen!

This book was everything! I am never disappointed by a Karla book and I feel every book I read becomes an instant favourite. This book brought out all the feels. Quite literally, I felt every emotion while reading and I couldn't get enough of Ivy and Cameron. These men Karla writes always leave me swooning because they are what every woman dreams of. Cameron was perfection and the attention he gives to Ivy will make you melt. I don't know how she makes it so every new man is the one to beat, but she does it every time. Parts of this book were heavier and it was handled so well. I am left in such a happy bubble that I don't want to leave. Easily a top read of the year for me!

Savannah Peachwood and Ryan West were amazing as Ivy and Cameron. Such a touching listen and I loved every second of it!
