About this listen
How does one begin upon the shamanic path of healing and wisdom? "At the core of the Pachakuti Mesa tradition," reflects don Oscar Miro-Quesada, emerge four keys: "By doing, we learn. With study, we refine. Through dreaming, we create. And in loving, we fulfill."
With Healing Light, this respected healer and teacher guides us into the direct teachings, practices, and profound worldview of Peruvian shamanism.
In-Depth Learning with a Respected Guide to the Spirituality of "the Heart Island".
More than 30 years ago, don Oscar Miro-Quesada was privileged to acquire, practice, and share the teachings of two revered shamanic wisdom holders from the northern coast and southeastern Andes of Peru, don Celso Rojas Palomino and don Benito Corihuaman Vargas.

With don Oscar's personal guidance, listeners are offered singular apprenticeship in: the principles and methods of Peruvian curanderismo; guided shamanic journeys of transformation and healing; empowering rituals; and a treasury of other insights, many shared here with a Western audience for the first time.
If you've ever been compelled by the root spirituality of South America, "the Heart Island" - or simply wish to experience more deeply our primordial connection with the natural world - Healing Light offers a rare and welcoming invitation to this perennial path of soul wisdom.

Sacred story telling
The tone is set slow on pupose, as the path of the Shamanic teachings shared embodies the ability to pause, to be present, to slow and take in all the art that is life. The offering given in this book is the Mesa. If you are looking on how to move energy or the deeper teachings of a Maestro, these teachings are found as a apprenticeship with a teacher or a mysticism school. Pay to deepen your experience if you feel the call after hearing this book, the entire inancial wellfare and construct of the survival of these teachings relies on that funding. This tradition and culture was almost eradicated and whipped out, these small communities that hold these teachings from an unbroken lineage of medicine people. Many of the tribes in the Amazon jungle, the communities in the Quechua Andean mountains and the African Shamanic traditions are still under attack from the threat of overly religious Christianity. support these communities. This book was a sensation, deeply robust and an inner journey with wisdom and a combination and marrying of many believes braided together as they source is the same cross culture. This is source. you are source. Journey inward and remember who you are.

New Age platitudes and catch phrases
What he says is all true but seems to be just recycled from different traditions thus the “cross-cultural” term.
There was very little to do with shamanic practises offered. Anyone can set up an altar and I do not see the need for the arrangement to be specific to these instructions.
I believe ‘toning’ can invoke spirits the same way chanting or prayer does but so little teaching was given that I am left with doubts about how efficacious the tones herein might be.
The slow pace of the narrator was irksome as well. All in all - quite a disappointment.
